Oil and Acrylic on Hardboard Airbrush & Hand Brush SIZE: 18"x24" A Dutch design from the famous Fokker company, the Finns put their DXXI's to good use - many of their aces scored their early victories in it. Here we see FR-146 and a friend scouting about in the winter of 1942 during the so-called "Continuation War". Original exhibited for a year in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, as a 1993 EAA Art Competition winner. Also seen in the March 2004 edition of Aviation History magazine in the Robert Guttman article "The Hornet From Holland". |
